Plant Portraits 

This series celebrates my unique collection of houseplants, immortalizing the form of each individual plant. Every plant radiates individuality, no two plants are quite the same. These intimate views of the plants draw focus to the beauty in their individual details and textures. The binomial name of each plant is handwritten under each image, adding a contrast between the intimate and the scientific realm. I want to encourage viewers to think about plants in terms of their beauty, as well as considering their complex scientific make up.
